Born and raised in Philadelphia, I grew up in a family of ex-hippie musicians. I went to school to be a music teacher and decided halfway through that teaching English would be fun too, so now I do both. I grew up on a cocktail of Disney, BBC, and 80’s slasher flicks.
In fifth grade, I developed an unhealthy love for Freddy Krueger. I knew every cast member, every plot, and every detail despite not being allowed to watch the movies until I was much older. From there I branched out to all the 80’s slashers and then just 80’s in general. I love any sort of magical or undead. I’m a Slytherin, a Trekker, and a Vampire Hunter.
